1990 में नवलपरासी में जन्मे कार्की ने चिकित्सा (एमबीबीएस) की पढ़ाई की और जनरल सर्जरी में स्नातकोत्तर प्रशिक्षण पूरा किया। राजनीति में आने से पहले उन्होंने पाटन अस्पताल में सर्जन के रूप में काम किया, पाटन एकेडमी ऑफ हेल्थ साइंसेज में सर्जरी पढ़ाई और नेपाल मेडिकल काउंसिल की कार्यकारी समिति में बैठीं। संसद में उन्होंने स्वास्थ्य नीति पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया हैः उन्होंने 2025 में एक स्वास्थ्य सचिव की नियुक्ति को लेकर सरकार पर सवाल उठाया, निवासी डॉक्टरों के लिए भत्ते और ड्यूटी-घंटे के नियमों के लिए दबाव डाला, और 2026 में सदन शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और आईटी समिति की एक स्वास्थ्य और खाद्य-सुरक्षा अध्ययन उपसमिति का समन्वय किया।
