Key Health Sector Response and Coordination: OCV Campaign Progress: NUWAKOT Rasuwa 47.79% 38.73% Target Population Total Reached • 71,635 34,241 Target Population 31,474 Total Reached 12,191 Tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccination and essential technical support are being provided to health workers, rescue teams, injured persons, and frontline responders. • In Rasuwa, 570 individuals in Gosainkunda, Uttargaya, and Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipalities received Td vaccination, while 19 individuals in Nuwakot received tetanus toxoid (TT) vaccination through the APF medical team. • Preparatory activities are underway for the MR vaccination campaign in Nuwakot and Rasuwa, as well as for the implementation of the oral cholera vaccine (OCV) campaign in the remaining affected wards of Dhading, Chitwan, and Gorkha. Note: Public health measures have been implemented, with further investigation and monitoring ongoing. Daily Reported cases of ILI, AGE, Fever with Rash and Fever, all holding centers, Shelters Situation Report on Health Sector Response to Flash Flood in Rasuwa # 21 | 15 Sep 2026 | heoc.mohp.gov.np 4 The Ministry of Health and Food Safety, Family Welfare Division, with the support of UNFPA, has established a temporary health clinic at the Galoudi shelter site in Dhading District and commenced the provision of essential health services. Nuwakot Adarsha Multiple Campus, Battar, Nuwakot: Upon request of Bidur Municipality, Nepal Red Cross Society Emergency Clinic (RCEC) is being operated in coordination with Bidur Municipality, District Public Health Office, and Trishuli Hospital from 7-16 September 2026 (first phase). To date, the clinic provided treatmet services to a total of 649 patients, including 232 males and 417 females. The Government of Nepal, Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, with the technical support from WHO, has developed a Code of Conduct for psychosocial counselors working in flood-affected areas. This provides a framework for ensuring MHPSS services are delivered ethically and responsibly, while protecting the dignity, confidentiality and wellbeing of individuals and communities throughout the recovery process. Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Mental Health Team Mobilized (1 psychiatrist, 1 Clin-Psychologist, 135 counselors, PFA volunteers) PFA / MHPSS Services till date) - 4 137 9858 Call Attended through helplines (24/7) regarding Mental Health MHPSS/PFA services continue across holding centres, hospitals, and affected communities in Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Kathmandu, and Dhading. - Multi-stakeholder coordination is ongoing to strengthen NCD-related services and develop the upcoming action plan. - Group counselling and therapeutic psychosocial activities are ongoing for children, adolescents, and affected families. - Mental health IEC materials are being distributed, and referral mechanisms for specialized services are being strengthened. - Specialized teams are conducting mental health needs identification and assessment and providing appropriate support. - Services, monitoring, and coordination continue through the mental health helpline and online reporting system.
