George H. W. Bush — Head of state or government

George Herbert Walker Bush was the 41st president of the United States, serving from 1989 to 1993. A member of the Republican Party, he also served as the 43rd vice president under President Ronald Reagan and previously in various other positions. His son, George W. Bush, served as the 43rd president.
