It is located on the west side of the Ngozumpa glacier, which is the largest glacier in Nepal and reputed to be the largest in the whole Himalayas. Gokyo, at the base of Gokyo Ri, is a small village with several houses and lodges, and is one of the highest settlements in the world. From the summit of Gokyo Ri it is possible to see four 8,000-metre peaks: Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. The Gokyo Lakes are in the area. Other mountains, such as Pumori and Nuptse are also visible from the top, along with five tranquil glacier lakes named together as gokyo lakes. The Gokyo-Ri summit is a 3-hour hike from the nearest village.","summary_more":[],"facts":[{"key":"type","label":"Type","values":[{"text":"mountain","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q8502"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4141286#P31"}},{"key":"elevation","label":"Elevation","values":[{"text":"5,357 m","value":5357.0}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4141286#P2044"}},{"key":"range","label":"Mountain range","values":[{"text":"Himalayas","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5451","page":"https://diginpl.com/places/himalayas"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4141286#P4552"}}],"office":null,"sections":[],"cited":[],"cited_from":null,"videos":[],"last_reviewed":null,"organizations":[],"same_as":["https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gokyo_Ri","https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4141286"],"faq":[{"q":"What is the elevation of Gokyo Ri?","a":"Gokyo Ri is at an elevation of 5,357 m above sea level."}],"related":[],"places_in":[],"nearby":[{"name":"Gokyo","url":"https://diginpl.com/places/gokyo","km":1.4},{"name":"Gokyo Lakes","url":"https://diginpl.com/places/gokyo-lakes","km":2.6},{"name":"Sagarmatha National Park","url":"https://diginpl.com/places/sagarmatha-national-park","km":7.8},{"name":"Cholatse","url":"https://diginpl.com/places/cholatse","km":9.3},{"name":"Lobuche","url":"https://diginpl.com/places/lobuche","km":10.5},{"name":"Taboche","url":"https://diginpl.com/places/taboche","km":11.8}],"image":{"url":"https://thumb.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/56/Gokyo_Ri%2C_Nepal%2C_Himalayas.jpg/960px-Gokyo_Ri%2C_Nepal%2C_Himalayas.jpg","width":640,"height":427,"license":"CC BY 4.0","credit":"Vyacheslav Argenberg","page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gokyo_Ri,_Nepal,_Himalayas.jpg"},"sources":[{"label":"Wikipedia (English): Gokyo Ri","url":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gokyo_Ri","license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/"},{"label":"Wikidata item Q4141286","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4141286","license":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"},{"label":"Image: Gokyo Ri, Nepal, Himalayas.jpg by Vyacheslav Argenberg (CC BY 4.0)","url":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gokyo_Ri,_Nepal,_Himalayas.jpg","license":null}],"license":{"text":"CC BY-SA 4.0","url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/","facts":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"},"attribution":"Text from the Wikipedia article Gokyo Ri, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
