Sitchin attributed the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Anunnaki, which he claimed was a race of extraterrestrials from a planet beyond Neptune called Nibiru. He claimed that Sumerian mythology suggests that this hypothetical planet of Nibiru is in an elongated, 3,600-year-long elliptical orbit around the Sun. Sitchin's books have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 25 languages.","summary_more":[],"facts":[{"key":"born","label":"Born","values":[{"text":"11 July 1920","date":"1920-07-11"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P569"}},{"key":"birthplace","label":"Place of birth","values":[{"text":"Baku","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q9248"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P19"}},{"key":"died","label":"Died","values":[{"text":"9 October 2010","date":"2010-10-09"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P570"}},{"key":"deathplace","label":"Place of death","values":[{"text":"New York City","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q60"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P20"}},{"key":"citizenship","label":"Citizenship","values":[{"text":"Israel","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q801"},{"text":"Soviet Union","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q15180"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P27"}},{"key":"occupation","label":"Occupation","values":[{"text":"science fiction writer","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q18844224"},{"text":"journalist","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1930187"},{"text":"economist","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q188094"},{"text":"writer","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q36180"},{"text":"businessperson","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q43845"},{"text":"intelligence officer","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5121444"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P106"}},{"key":"education","label":"Education","values":[{"text":"London School of Economics and Political Science","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q174570"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P69"}},{"key":"website","label":"Official website","values":[{"text":"sitchin.com","url":"http://www.sitchin.com/"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613#P856"}}],"office":null,"sections":[],"cited":[],"cited_from":null,"videos":[],"last_reviewed":null,"organizations":[],"same_as":["https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zecharia_Sitchin","https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q169613","http://www.sitchin.com/"],"faq":[{"q":"When was Zecharia Sitchin born?","a":"Zecharia Sitchin was born on 11 July 1920 in Baku."},{"q":"Where did Zecharia Sitchin study?","a":"Zecharia Sitchin was educated at London School of Economics and Political Science."}],"related":[{"name":"Yochanan Vollach","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/yochanan-vollach"},{"name":"Bar Refaeli","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/bar-refaeli"},{"name":"Avi Arad","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/avi-arad"},{"name":"Roy Cohn","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/roy-cohn"},{"name":"Nir Barkat","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/nir-barkat"},{"name":"Theodore Bikel","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/theodore-bikel"},{"name":"Ron Huldai","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/ron-huldai"},{"name":"Ihor Kolomoyskyi","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/ihor-kolomoyskyi"},{"name":"Semion Mogilevich","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/semion-mogilevich"},{"name":"Arnon Milchan","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/arnon-milchan"},{"name":"Eliyahu M.
