From July 22, 1872, to July 26, 1872, Gutiérrez was the de facto leader of Peru and the self-proclaimed \"Supreme Leader of the Republic\" after a coup d'état. He was overthrown just four days after his proclamation and lynched. Peru later regained some political stability with the election of Manuel Pardo, although this stability was short-lived as a foreign threat began to arise in Chile.","summary_more":[],"facts":[{"key":"born","label":"Born","values":[{"text":"7 March 1817","date":"1817-03-07"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241#P569"}},{"key":"birthplace","label":"Place of birth","values":[{"text":"Huancarqui District","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3313824"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241#P19"}},{"key":"died","label":"Died","values":[{"text":"26 July 1872","date":"1872-07-26"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241#P570"}},{"key":"deathplace","label":"Place of death","values":[{"text":"Lima","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2868"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241#P20"}},{"key":"citizenship","label":"Citizenship","values":[{"text":"Peru","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q419"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241#P27"}},{"key":"occupation","label":"Occupation","values":[{"text":"politician","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q82955"},{"text":"military personnel","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q47064"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241#P106"}},{"key":"positions","label":"Positions held","values":[{"text":"President of Peru (22 July 1872 – 26 July 1872)","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5708511","start":"1872-07-22","end":"1872-07-26"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241#P39"}}],"office":null,"sections":[],"cited":[],"cited_from":null,"videos":[],"last_reviewed":null,"organizations":[],"same_as":["https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom%C3%A1s_Guti%C3%A9rrez","https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241"],"faq":[{"q":"When was Tomás Gutiérrez born?","a":"Tomás Gutiérrez was born on 7 March 1817 in Huancarqui District."},{"q":"What positions has Tomás Gutiérrez held?","a":"Positions held by Tomás Gutiérrez include: President of Peru (1872–1872)."}],"related":[{"name":"Simón Bolívar","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/simon-bolivar"},{"name":"Francisco Morales Bermúdez","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/francisco-morales-bermudez"},{"name":"Nicolás Lindley López","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/nicolas-lindley-lopez"},{"name":"Manuel Prado Ugarteche","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/manuel-prado-ugarteche"},{"name":"Fernando Belaúnde","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/fernando-belaunde"},{"name":"Ollanta Humala","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/ollanta-humala"}],"places_in":[],"nearby":[],"image":{"url":"https://diginpl.com/kb-img/tomas-gutierrez-665d19aef8.jpg","width":500,"height":660,"license":"Public domain","credit":"Unknown artist Unknown artist","page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tgutierrez.png"},"sources":[{"label":"Wikipedia (English): Tomás Gutiérrez","url":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom%C3%A1s_Guti%C3%A9rrez","license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/"},{"label":"Wikidata item Q2603241","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2603241","license":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"},{"label":"Image: Tgutierrez.png by Unknown artist Unknown artist (Public domain)","url":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tgutierrez.png","license":null}],"license":{"text":"CC BY-SA 4.0","url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/","facts":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"},"attribution":"Text from the Wikipedia article Tomás Gutiérrez, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
