सूफी अबू तालेब एक मिस्र के राजनेता थे जिन्होंने 1978 से 1983 तक मिस्र की पीपुल्स असेंबली के 6 वें स्पीकर के रूप में कार्य किया और, 6 अक्टूबर को अनवर सादत की हत्या के बाद 1981 ने मिस्र के संविधान के अनुसार आठ दिनों के लिए कार्यवाहक राज्य प्रमुख का कर्तव्य संभाला। बाद में वे सादत के उपराष्ट्रपति होस्नी मुबारक के लिए अलग हो गए।
