The eldest son of King Dawlya was only 8 when he was put on the throne by the ministers after his granduncle King Ba Saw Nyo's death. The ministers also married the young boy to Saw Shin Saw, daughter of Ba Saw Nyo and his cousin. Still a child, the king had no interest in governing and spent much of the time playing. However, the ministers' belief that they could control the boy king was greatly shaken when the young king on a whim had one of the ministers drowned in a well. Concerned by the erratic behaviour and for their own safety, the remaining ministers beheaded the king and handed the throne to his maternal uncle Salingathu. The king was also referred to as Noori Shah by the neighbouring Bengal.","summary_more":[],"facts":[{"key":"born","label":"Born","values":[{"text":"1485","date":"1485"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6862573#P569"}},{"key":"birthplace","label":"Place of birth","values":[{"text":"Mrauk U","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1951490"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6862573#P19"}},{"key":"died","label":"Died","values":[{"text":"1494","date":"1494"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6862573#P570"}},{"key":"deathplace","label":"Place of death","values":[{"text":"Mrauk U","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1951490"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6862573#P20"}},{"key":"positions","label":"Positions held","values":[{"text":"King of Arakan (1494–1494)","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q124662282","start":"1494-01","end":"1494-07"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6862573#P39"}}],"office":null,"sections":[],"cited":[],"cited_from":null,"videos":[],"last_reviewed":null,"organizations":[],"same_as":["https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Min_Ran_Aung","https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6862573"],"faq":[{"q":"When was Min Ran Aung born?","a":"Min Ran Aung was born on 1485 in Mrauk U."},{"q":"What positions has Min Ran Aung held?","a":"Positions held by Min Ran Aung include: King of Arakan (1494–1494)."}],"related":[{"name":"Apaya","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/apaya"},{"name":"Ba Saw Nyo","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/ba-saw-nyo"},{"name":"Ba Saw Phyu","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/ba-saw-phyu"},{"name":"Min Dikkha","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/min-dikkha"},{"name":"Gazapati","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/gazapati"},{"name":"Kalamandat","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/kalamandat"}],"places_in":[],"nearby":[],"image":null,"sources":[{"label":"Wikipedia (English): Min Ran Aung","url":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Min_Ran_Aung","license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/"},{"label":"Wikidata item Q6862573","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6862573","license":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"}],"license":{"text":"CC BY-SA 4.0","url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/","facts":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"},"attribution":"Text from the Wikipedia article Min Ran Aung, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
