She was one of the first female republican heads of state in the world, and the first woman to serve as president of a country. Perón was the third wife of President Juan Perón. During her husband's third term as president from 1973 to 1974, she served as both the vice president and first lady of Argentina. From 1974 until her resignation in 1985, she was also the second President of the Justicialist Party. Isabel Perón's politics exemplify right-wing Peronism and Orthodox Peronism. Ideologically, she is considered by academics to be close to corporate neo-fascism.","summary_more":[],"facts":[{"key":"born","label":"Born","values":[{"text":"4 February 1931","date":"1931-02-04"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P569"}},{"key":"birthplace","label":"Place of birth","values":[{"text":"La Rioja","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q44236"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P19"}},{"key":"citizenship","label":"Citizenship","values":[{"text":"Argentina","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q414"},{"text":"Spain","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q29","start":"2000"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P27"}},{"key":"occupation","label":"Occupation","values":[{"text":"politician","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q82955"},{"text":"dancer","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5716684"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P106"}},{"key":"party","label":"Political party","values":[{"text":"Justicialist Party","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1053668"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P102"}},{"key":"spouse","label":"Spouse","values":[{"text":"Juan Perón","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q93330","page":"https://diginpl.com/people/juan-peron"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P26"}},{"key":"positions","label":"Positions held","values":[{"text":"President of Argentina (1 July 1974 – 24 March 1976)","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q12969145","start":"1974-07-01","end":"1976-03-24"},{"text":"First Lady of Argentina (12 October 1973 – 1 July 1974)","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q24703451","start":"1973-10-12","end":"1974-07-01"},{"text":"Vice President of Argentina (12 October 1973 – 1 July 1974)","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2914766","start":"1973-10-12","end":"1974-07-01"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P39"}},{"key":"awards","label":"Awards","values":[{"text":"Order of the Liberator General San Martín","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1783970"},{"text":"Order of May","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q430479"},{"text":"Star of the Socialist Republic of Romania","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4335924"},{"text":"Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q17365974","date":"1974-06-24"}],"source":{"label":"Wikidata","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014#P166"}}],"office":null,"sections":[],"cited":[],"cited_from":null,"videos":[],"last_reviewed":null,"organizations":[],"same_as":["https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isabel_Per%C3%B3n","https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014"],"faq":[{"q":"When was Isabel Perón born?","a":"Isabel Perón was born on 4 February 1931 in La Rioja."},{"q":"What positions has Isabel Perón held?","a":"Positions held by Isabel Perón include: President of Argentina (1974–1976); First Lady of Argentina (1973–1974); Vice President of Argentina (1973–1974)."}],"related":[{"name":"Mauricio Macri","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/mauricio-macri"},{"name":"Fernando de la Rúa","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/fernando-de-la-rua"},{"name":"Cristina Fernández de Kirchner","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/cristina-fernandez-de-kirchner"},{"name":"Jorge Rafael Videla","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/jorge-rafael-videla"},{"name":"Néstor Kirchner","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/nestor-kirchner"},{"name":"José Evaristo Uriburu","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/jose-evaristo-uriburu"},{"name":"Carlos Pellegrini","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/carlos-pellegrini"},{"name":"Eduardo Duhalde","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/eduardo-duhalde"},{"name":"Ramón Castillo","url":"https://diginpl.com/people/ramon-castillo"}],"places_in":[],"nearby":[],"image":{"url":"https://diginpl.com/kb-img/isabel-peron-0226295225.jpg","width":253,"height":394,"license":"Public domain","credit":"Archivo General de la Nación","page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Isabel_Martinez_de_Peron.jpg"},"sources":[{"label":"Wikipedia (English): Isabel Perón","url":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isabel_Per%C3%B3n","license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/"},{"label":"Wikidata item Q191014","url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q191014","license":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"},{"label":"Image: Isabel Martinez de Peron.jpg by Archivo General de la Nación (Public domain)","url":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Isabel_Martinez_de_Peron.jpg","license":null}],"license":{"text":"CC BY-SA 4.0","url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/","facts":"https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"},"attribution":"Text from the Wikipedia article Isabel Perón, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
