Verevskyi is a former People's Deputy of Ukraine, representing Ukraine's 146th electoral district in Poltava Oblast from 2002 to 2006 before subsequently being elected from the proportional lists of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc and the Party of Regions from 2006 until 2012. He was a member of the Agrarian Policy and Land Relations Committee.
