Secondary Math Teacher

The Secondary Math Teacher is responsible for delivering effective Mathematics instruction in accordance with the school curriculum, developing engaging and student-centered learning experiences, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The role also involves strengthening students’ mathematical knowledge, logical reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills while supporting their overall academic development.Reports To: Reporting Line ManagerSupervises: StudentsWorkstation: Satdobato, LalitpurKey Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the secondary-level curriculum.Develop appropriate lesson plans, teaching materials, activities, and assessments.Explain mathematical concepts clearly through theoretical, practical, and problem-solving approaches.Foster students’ mathematical reasoning, analytical, logical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Use appropriate examples, activities, and real-world applications to make Mathematics concepts meaningful and engaging.Provide opportunities for students to practice and apply mathematical concepts through classwork, assignments, projects, and problem-solving activities.Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.Assess and monitor student learning through assignments, projects, examinations, class activities, and regular assessments.Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students to improve their learning outcomes.Identify students’ learning gaps and provide appropriate support and remedial guidance where required.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding students’ academic progress and concerns.Participate in school events, academic programs, meetings, and other activities as required.Maintain necessary academic records and complete assigned responsibilities within the required timelines.
