Dog and animal bites (rabies risk)

General health information, not a diagnosis. In an emergency, call 102. Always consult a qualified health professional.

Call 102 first in an emergency. Wash the wound immediately with soap and running water for 15 minutes, then apply an antiseptic. Go to a health facility the same day for rabies vaccine (free at government facilities in Nepal) and, for deep bites, immune globulin.
